This course prepares both those who have never worked in the medical field or those with previous medical experience to obtain their credentials. Graduates of this program will be eligible to take (5) National Certification Exams. You will be prepared to take the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC)’s CPC/CPC-A, the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)’s Certified Billing & Coding Specialist, (CBCS), as well as the NHA’s Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA), Certified Electronic Health Records Specialist (CEHRS), and the Professional Healthcare Institute of America (PHIA)’s Certified Coding Professional (CCP) credentialing exams.

Subjects covered in course are: ICD-9 (including V and E codes), CPT, HCPCS Codes & Modifiers, CDT- 4 Dental Codes, DRG’s (Diagnostic Related Groups), CMS -1500 forms, EHR/EMR: Electronic Health Records/Electronic Medical Records, Computerized Medical Billing, EOB’s, COB’s, Insurance Carriers, HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA andOIG Regulations, Pre-Certifications, Referrals, 3rd Party Reimbursements, Anatomy and Medical Terminology (prefixes, suffixes, organs of the body (systems), abbreviations and root words, etc.), Medisoft Billing & Scheduling Software, Microsoft Word and more!

This Online Course covers all aspects of the Medical Billing/Coding leading to Credentials as a Coder.  This is an excellent program for someone who wants a career in Medical Billing/Coding however you need to also work while taking a course. Also great for those currently working in Billing& Coding but need to become Certified to keep their positions etc. You learn ICD9/10 Coding, Conversion of Codes,CPT Coding,HCPCS Coding as well as Anatomy and Terminology for the Coder/Biller taught so that it will be remembered not only for your exams but far beyond in you working environment. The Billing and understanding EHR (Electric Health records) are also taught online allowing you to be “Highly Job Marketable”. Once you take your Certification Exams. Computer and phone based access to your instructor are available for a ½ hr after all courses end (More if needed). Books sent out 2 weeks prior to class.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Certified Nursing Assistants works under the direction of physicians, RN’s, LPN’s to provide daily basic care for patients.  A CNA provides physical and emotional support for patients in nursing homes, hospitals as well as other various settings.  CNA’s must be able to provide personal assistance to individuals who are unable to care for themselves and help them regain and maintain daily functions.  To be certified as a Nursing Assistant, the student must successfully complete the New Jersey curriculum for Nurse’s Aide in long term care facilities training and competency evaluation program (NATCEP).  MCITC’s program is approved by the NJ Dept. of Health and Senior Services.  Classroom learning is taught in a “simulated” long term care classroom setting and clinical is instructed at a locally designated long term care facility outside of the school.  This course gives you the full academic and hands on skills required to pass you state licensing exams.  The length of the course is 90 hours (4-6 weeks).  Our instructors have many years of positive instruction and a very high percentage of students who pass their exams the first time.  MCITC requires all CNA students to show a caring attitude at all times to the instructor, the elderly/disabled and desire to be future students/employees of integrity at school and at their work place.

Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)

Anatomy & physiology, Basic Terminology used by CMA’s Charting / EHR (Electric Health Records) Intro in to the medical Billing-Coding with Fundamentals of health insurance / Recording Procedures / Accounting of patients Accounts, all included in this course. Administrative Office Procedures taught allowing students to follow written orders from nurses / Doctors and other health care professionals.

Medical office software such as Medisoft Taught in a “Simulated Setting” with current books loaned to students, no purchase required. Clinical 1&2 include pharmacology and injections, all body systems, Minor office surgical procedure assisting and electrocardiography (EKG).

HIPAA, OSHA and CLIA rules and regulations will be taught. CPR is taught and certification is received upon passing this course.

Phlebotomy Technician/Phlebotomist

Tuition:   $1,875.00

Students will be taught in a “simulated drawing / laboratory station” Not just in classroom, preparing them to be ready to work upon completion of the course and after sitting for the Certification of their choice. Many use NCCT, or NHA, however students are allowed to choose the Certification of their choice upon passing the course. The role of Phlebotomist is taught with safety and Accuracy being our main objective. CLIA, OSHA, & NCCLS regulations are taught throughout the course. Venipuncture, capillary punc, urine sampling, specimen labeling, transportation and isolation procedures are strictly adhered to. Basic Lab procedures/testing’s are explained to the students and performed including blood chemistry.

Blood typing, urinalysis, pregnancy tests etc. Students entering this program must submit to drug screening and results sent to us. Students can be asked for random tests during course if we feel needed at student’s expense

Customer Service Specialist/Receptionist

CNA/Certified Home Health Aide  (CHHA) (10 hour Conversion Course)

A Certified Home Health Aide provides personal care such as light housekeeping duties, bathing and grooming to elderly, convalescent or disabled persons in the home of patients or in a residential care facility.  To be New Jersey State Certified as a CHHA, the student must successfully complete a required 76 hour course of 60 hours of classroom instruction and 16 hours of clinical instruction, in skills laboratory or patient care setting and pass a competency evaluation exam.  Our instructors have many years of positive instruction and a very high percentage of students who pass their exams the first time https://apotheke-zag.de/.

**MCITC offers this course to active CNA’s only, (those CNA’s who have a certified nurse aide license with the NJ         Dept. of Health and Senior Services) so that it that allows them to work for home health agencies as well.
